Dear Friends,

Greetings from Sacred Groves!

New Videos Posted

Since our last email, we have posted two new videos on the sacredgroves.net website. These actually aren't edited clips, but full-length, un-cut interviews.

Adam's Road Roundtable
The Adams's Road Roundtable Interview

The first is an informal "round-table" discussion that features all five members of the Adam's Road band, reflecting back on their lives as Mormons and as LDS missionaries.

It provides some fascinating insights into the daily lives of the LDS missionaries who sincerely want to share their Mormon gospel message... but at the same time, who are in such desperate need of knowing the true, biblical Gospel. You can view this by clicking on the image or link above, or by visiting the website.

Steve Kay Interview

The second posting is the interview with band member Steve Kay. Steve gives us a candid look at his background as a faithful LDS member, his time as a missionary, and ultimately, the journey that God led him on to bring him to an encounter with the living Jesus. You can view it by clicking on the image or the link on the left.

We will be uploading the rest of the uncut interviews over the course of the next few weeks (in no particular order, just as they get prepared and processed for uploading).

Other than initial adjustments and fixing microphones and things like that, nothing has been cut from the interviews. Our purpose in making them available is twofold: first, we believe their stories are interesting on their own merits, in their entirety, and provide a very intimate look at the struggles these people went through on their journey from Mormonism to Jesus Christ. Secondly, we want to assure any "skeptical viewers" of the final DVD project, when it gets released, that the sound bites haven't been "manipulated" to make the subjects say anything that they didn't intend to say. If there are any doubts, anyone can go back and hear the whole interview, in its full context!

Stay tuned for more full-length, un-cut interviews, to be posted soon!

Which leads us to the next topic...

The New Documentary...

We're pleased to announce that a working first draft of the documentary featuring the Adam's Road guys and associates has been completed, and the overall structure of it is taking shape quite well. There are, of course, some things left to do. You may notice, for example, that it's missing a formal title! Nevertheless, we're expecting that sometime this fall, the new documentary will be ready for distribution on DVD and posting on the Internet.

Its primary intended audience are seeking Latter-day Saints--Mormons who, for one reason or another, have grown conscious of something not being quite right. Maybe they're wrestling with questions about the teachings, history or doctrine of their church. Perhaps they are struggling with feelings of unworthiness, judgment, or frustration. These are Latter-day Saints who may just starting to explore the idea of leaving Mormonism, or may be at the tail end of that journey, or perhaps even recently completed it.

If any of this describes you, then count on a free copy once it is released. Because all of these struggles are by no means unique, and our interview subjects have experienced them all, and provide us with an intimate and open look at their journey. In addition to posting the documentary online for all to view, free of charge, we will send a free copy of the DVD to any Mormon who asks of us (as long as we are financially able to do so.)

Even if you've never been a Mormon, we believe that this documentary will be a valuable tool for educating and equipping biblical Christians, because it provides a unique and compelling insight into the inner struggles that many Mormons are facing today. It is our hope that Christians will not only feel encouraged to share this with their LDS friends, but that it will also instill a greater sense of compassion for their Mormon friends and loved ones.

The Mailing Lists

As we had mentioned would happen in the previous mailing, this is the first "split" mailing list. If you are receiving this email, it is because you have at some point expressed an interest in hearing ongoing news about the Sacred Groves ministry of Main Street Church. There is also a separate mailing list that covers the various ministry activities of Main Street Church of Brigham City, and if you are interested in being on that list as well as this one, you can sign up from this link. Either way, we'll do our best to keep you informed; but even if you're on both lists, we won't pummel you with too many emails. And you are certainly free to unsubscribe from either list at any time.

In closing, we leave you with these words from the book of Acts:

"And there is salvation in no one else [but Jesus]; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:11-12)

We praise God that He has given us Jesus, so that through Him, we can receive eternal life! Let us not grow tired of celebrating and sharing that Good News!
