Carl Moore, Jr., grew up as a Latter-day Saint in Orem, Utah. As a member of the Hopi nation, he also offers a unique perspective on Mormonism in relation to their beliefs and teachings about Native Americans, whom they historically called "Lamanites" after the nation mentioned in the Book of Mormon.
